About the event
We are going to stay at the Lake Bonney Discovery Holiday & Caravan Park on the foreshore in Barmera on the weekend commencing Friday 3rd May. Another option for accommodation is Barmera Lake Resort Motel.
You are welcome to come up for any day or all weekend. We'll be doing various activities, such as sunrise, sunset and astrophotography that Lake Bonney is famous for. We will get together for sunrise and sunset shoots but apart from that you can discover the photographic opportunities that abound around the lake and in this region with walking and hiking trails and over 17 national parks close by.
Discover Lake Bonney’s famous dead river red gums or sailors or skiers on the lake. If it’s a warm weekend discover swimming again or discover canoeing or kayaking (with camera of course). We may be lucky enough to discover a new galaxy or meteorite when we try astrophotography.
Discover Banrock Station Wine and Wetland Centre with board walks and bird life for photography, wine tastings, and lunches.
Discover Monash Adventure Park. It holds a great family day out with BBQ facilities and a kiosk stocked with light refreshments.
Discover the Cobdogla Irrigation & Steam Museum featuring the world’s only working Humphrey Pump and train rides.
Discover Napper's Ruins on the north shore of the Lake, which once stood strong as a hotel built for former workers of Cobdogla Station.
So come along and have a great weekend of Photography.
See you there Friday May 3rd (or perhaps Saturday if you just want to come up for the day or evening) – Bring your camera and tripod - you’re going to need them.
