Learn lens terminology, technology and how to choose what suits you.

About the event

Lenses are usually regarded as the best long-term investment in photography. Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Colin J. Pearce, will explain terminologies and talk about the various amazing technologies used by Sony. These range from the range of autofocus motors, through to the coatings used.

Colin will be discussing various aspects of choosing the most appropriate lenses for differing needs, including the usefulness of various switches and buttons. He will talk about the holy trinity of lenses – wide angle, mid-range and telephoto, often used as a base kit, plus consideration of more specialist lenses to suit your interests.

Participants are welcome to pose their own scenarios, to get an opinion which lens(es) may be best suited.
