Techniques covered
- Understanding the difference between commercial, glamour and Art Beach Photography
- Learning the right shooting angles and using natural light in your favor
- How to shoot in hard light to achieve the commercial style of beach portraits
- Shooting straight into the sun to avoid bad shadows
- Understanding your gear with aperture and shutter speed
- Using ND Filters to cut the backlight and how to use fill light
- The difference in the polarising filter and ND filters
- Right angle and use of the 5in1 reflectors to diffuse light and bounce light on your subject
- Using speed lights with HSS (High-speed Sync) to overpower the sun
- Model posing techniques with correct lighting
- At least 15 different beach posing techniques which you can use in your own beach shoots
What to bring
- Your Mirrorless or DSLR Camera + any portrait lens
- ND Filter (Optional) (If available, any brand)
- Empty memory card
- Fully charged camera batteries
- Lots of water to keep hydrated
- Sunscreen to protect from sharp sunlight
- Towel
- Spare clothes (There is no beach shoot without getting wet)
