About the event

Join us for an exciting, informative and practical dog photography workshop at the beautiful Peppercorn Lawns in Melbourne, hosted by award-winning pet photographer Ina J Photography from Canberra. This 1.5-hour workshop is designed for dog lovers and photography enthusiasts who want to learn the secrets behind capturing stunning images of our furry friends.  Whether you're new to photography or looking to level up your pet portraits, this hands-on workshop will help you build skills and confidence.

What You'll Learn:

  1. Composition:

    • Learn to frame your shots for the best compositino for dog photography.
    • Discover how to use the environment creatively to enhance your photos.
  2. Dog Behaviour

    • Basics on understanding dog behaviour and how to work with them
  3. Lighting:

    • Understand the importance of natural light and how to use it to your advantage.
  4. Camera Techniques:

    • Learn the best settings for pet photography on your camera.
    • Learn how to capture fast-moving dogs and dogs in action
    • Get hands-on practical experience with guidance throughout, focusing on modelling and directing the dog

We will also have some Sony gears available for loan to test and play around with, however, you will need to bring your camera gears as you'll get the chance to put in practice what you learn.

We will have 1-3 dog models with us to photograph during the workshop.

You'll walk away with new skills, inspiration, and great images. Don’t forget your camera and your love for dogs—this will be a paw-some afternoon (minus the puns 😉)! You'll also be able to register for a post-workshop editing session on Zoom with Ina for tips on editing your photos.

Whether you're a beginner looking to improve your photography skills or an experienced photographer seeking new tips and tricks, this workshop will provide valuable insights and practical knowledge to take your dog photography to the next level. Please leave your own pets at home as we will have beautiful furry models for the day.

Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to improve your pet photography skills!
