About the event

Discover the alleyways and back streets of Brisbane, with Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Craig Turnbull, on a photowalk challenge. 

Bring just one camera and one lens, preferably a prime! And no tripod.

Learn to compose your photos, using a prime lens instead of a zoom. It takes away some of your choices, make you slow down and will force you to think about the best frame you can take with a single focal length.

Open to all camera users.

  • General tips and tricks for shooting at night with no tripod.
  • Camera settings
  • Open discussion and sharing of knowledge 

What to bring

  • One Camera
  • One lens (preferably prime) or limit yourself to one focal length using a zoom.
  • Memory card
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear for a night walk around the city

No, but we may find a coffee shop for a sit down discussion
Cheap parking is available at the BCC car park on Turbot street, just opposite the Sofitel Hotel. $5 if you enter after 4:30PM.
Minors can attend if accompanied by a responsible adult.
Yes, train and bus stations are within walking distance of meeting point.
