About the event
Join me on a casual photo walk and meet up at Maungawhau / Mt Eden in Auckland!
Photographers, videographers and creatives of all ages and levels of experience are welcome to attend. As this is a casual event there won't be any formal techniques covered on the night - the aim is to bring the local photography community together.
If you're just starting out in photography and looking to make new friends in the local scene, or simply keen to catch up with others and talk about all things photography, then this is the event is for you!
We'll all meet at the base of Mt Eden in Tahaki Reserve at 4pm. Then we'll take a short walk up to the Mt Eden lookout where you'll be able to capture uninterrupted 360 degree views of Auckland City, and (hopefully) an amazing sunset.
There will also be a "Photo of the Night" competition, with a small Sony Alpha prize pack up for grabs! (More details will be revealed on the night.)

* You do not need a Sony Alpha camera to attend this event.
* Due to the uncertainty of the weather over the winter months this event may be postponed to a later date.
* Please ensure that you sign up to this event with an active email address as I will be sending out regular email updates closer to the event. (I will also be posting updates for this event on my Instagram stories: @LukeNicholas)
*If you get tickets but find out later that you cannot attend please let me know as soon as possible so I can pass them on to other people.
Techniques covered
- No specific techniques will be covered on the evening, but I will be available to offer advice about camera settings and answer any questions that may arise.
What to bring
- Camera and lenses.
- Spare SD cards and batteries.
- Shoes suitable for walking.
- Water and snacks.
- Lightweight tripod (optional - for night photography).
