About the event
Come and enjoy photography with your fellow Sony photographers and connect with nature at the beautiful Mount Lofty Botanic Garden on Sunday 25th April (Anzac Day) at 9:45am (we get there early for the queue for car parking when the gates open at 10am), using the Lampert Road entrance, for the annual autumn show when the cool-climate trees transform into a panorama of scarlet, yellows and bronzes.
Autumn colours lend themselves beautifully to photographers in all shapes and forms. Whether you like Panoramas or Macro there will be something for you at the Mt Lofty Botanic Garden.
We'll start for a chat at the van run by local chocolatier Bracegirdles, which will be set up next to the lower car park, where they will be offering their full drinks menu along with some delicious sweet and savoury offerings.
After that, off to the main lake and duck pond which are probably the best place to photograph wildlife and autumnal colours at their best but wander anywhere and your lens will be richly rewarded. If you have never been there this is one of Adelaide's best kept secrets for photography where you can walk and photograph to your heart's content.
Come along and gets some tips and tricks for your Sony camera with taking photos in these wonderful gardens.
Please arrive 15 minutes early (9:45am) before the gates open at 10am. Beware that due to COVID-19 and the Garden’s COVID-safe plan, a capacity limit is in place and visitors will be denied entry when the car park is full. Make sure you go to the LOWER car park (on Lampert Road).
Your host for the day is Adelaide Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Colin J. Pearce. If you get lost or run late, please phone him on 0408 426 546 (no texts, please).
Friends & family most welcome, but please book a ticket for each person!
