Sony Adelaide explore the diverse Murray Bridge Show

About the event

Murray Bridge Show offers some of the most diverse photo opportunities of any event in the State. Attractions include:

  • Sheep shearing
  • Yard dogs
  • Wood chopping
  • Horses in action (including show jumping)
  • Food and produce
  • Photography exhibition (Murray Bridge International Photography Club)
  • Local art and entertainment, including bands and sideshows

And if you wish, you could even stay late for the evening fireworks display!

There are opportunities abound for trying some candid street photography or test the settings of your Sony camera's autofocus capabilities. Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Colin J. Pearce will be hosting, providing tips and advice.

We're meeting at 10am inside the GATE 2 entrance to the Murray Bridge Showgrounds, which are located in the unnamed street at 113 Old Princes Hwy, Murray Bridge East. This is accessed by taking the Murray Bridge/Mannum exit (B55), going across Murray Bridge itself, and the Showgrounds are 2.3km past the bridge.

Please keep Colin's number handy and call him on 0408 426 546 in case you get lost or are running late.

Entrance fee is Adults $8; Concession $5.

Meeting time is 10am inside the Gate 2 entrance. Meet again at noon for lunch at the food stalls.

The possibilities are endless!

Techniques covered

  • Street photography

What to bring

  • Your choice of lenses, but a telephoto lens would be good for capturing candid shots and the horses and other animal events.
