About the event
Join Adelaide's Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Colin J. Pearce, for your Astrophotography adventure at Myponga with your Sony Alpha Camera.
This location has been chosen due to its landscape and the interesting foreground possibilities. The moon will be up to light the landscape to make an interesting nightscape.
We're lucky in Australia to have one of the best places in the world to be able to see the Milky Way, and this is the ideal time of year. With modern Sony Alpha cameras we have incredibly powerful tools to capture the stars, which was impossible for normal photographers just a few short years ago.

What to bring
- Sony Alpha camera and a fast wide angle lens (even a standard kit lens can work).
- Tripod (preferably a sturdy tripod with shotbag or sandbag to weigh it down).
- Graduated Neutral Density filter may help balance exposure (optional).
- Headlight torch (strong preference for red light mode).
- Warm clothes & beanie (maybe gloves).
