About the event
Join us on our Nature Photowalk in one of Queenslands most visted Rainforests at The Natural Bridge, Springbrook National Park, Gold Coast.
The park's Natural Bridge section features a picturesque rock formation, formed by the force of the waterfall over the basalt cave. It is easily accessible from the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road car park.
Follow the easy one-kilometre circuit walk and decend through the ancient Gondwana rainforest to the Natural Bridge rock arch. You will find hoop pines emerging from surrounding forests which are living relics of the Jurassic Age, 180 million years ago.
During the day spot paradise riflebirds, greeen catbirds, wompoo fruit-doves and threatened species like the casade tree frog, tusked frog, sooty owl and koala.
We will guide you in our knowledge, camera tips and hints to get the best images while you admire your surroundings. There will be a myriad of insteresting things to capture throughout the afternoon. Please feel free to ask as many questions as possible as the rainforest can be very challenging to capture that perfect photo.
We look forward to seeing you all there and enjoying our beautiful parks, while learning and developing your skills with your camera, experiencing nature around us.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please remember as we go into our National Parks that we have to respect our environment of flora and fauna by following the paths, taking our rubbish with us.
