Tips, tricks, and techniques for capturing stunning ocean wildlife photos

About the event

Join award-winning wildlife photographer, marine conservation biologist, and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Dr Simon Pierce for this 1-hour workshop on taking great wildlife photos on, near, and under the water – and how scientists and conservationists can use your photos to protect endangered ocean animals.

Simon will share his go-to settings for different situations and subjects, gear and accessory recommendations, how you can take advantage of camera customisations and setup options to speed up your shooting in the field, and some editing tips for Lightroom and other programmes too.

As Executive Director of the Marine Megafauna Foundation, and one of the world's top scientific experts on the use of photo-identification in marine wildlife research, Simon will also share how scientists are using photography to monitor the populations of threatened sharks, rays, and marine mammal species around the world.
