Experience the spectacular winter lights of Lightscape in Kings Park!

About the event

Join us on a guided evening photowalk through Perth's Lightscape installation in the Kings Park Botanic Gardens! The Sony Scene ticket price includes your entrance ticket to Lightscape and you will be emailed your ticket as a PDF after booking.

Capture spectacular images while delving into this magical light and sound experience. We'll explore the Roots installation, the tunnel of hearts, wander amongst intricate colour-changing creations, and revisit the wonder of last year's favourites including the magnificent Winter Cathedral... and that's just the start!

Lightscape 2023 sold out and this year the trail has been reimagined and is packed with brand new installations. Don’t miss your chance to explore the Western Australian Botanic Garden in a whole new light with Andrew and Sony!

Program:

  • 30mins before your entrance time (printed on your ticket) - Arrive in Kings Park with plenty of time to find the main entrance to Lightscape, which is located adjacent to the Yorkas Nyinning building in Kings Park.
  • At your entrance time - Andrew will meet you *inside* the main entrance to Lightscape - you will need to use the PDF ticket that is emailed to you to enter.
  • After meeting Andrew - 90 minute guided Lightscape photowalk.
  • After the walk - Feel free to stay on and continue exploring the park!

Limited Sony equipment will be available to borrow for the evening - please contact Andrew well in advance if there is something specific you would like to try.

IMPORTANT:

(1) If you do not recieve your Lightscape ticket via email within 24hrs of booking on Sony Scene, please contact Andrew.

The route is designed so that it can be navigated on paths. This is a moderate trail with some moderately steep sections and audience members may benefit from assistance. A limited number of wheelchairs are available from the Lightscape organisers for those who require assistance. These are available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be booked. If the weather conditions prohibit the trail from being fully accessible, for those needing mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.), consideration will be made on a case-by-case basis to allow for tickets to be transferred to alternate dates. Visitors using mobility devices may find some sections of the trail challenging. There are opportunities to detour these sections if required.
