Bring photos for review and critique - it's the best way to learn!

About the event

Join me for another highly popular photo review session. It offers a service many of you have asked for: informed, constructive critique of your work. It's one of the most powerful ways to learn. Everyone participates, so it becomes a great way to share experience and knowledge.

We will select one image from each participant and then give comment and feedback, with everyone invited to contribute. We'll all have to work together to ensure everyone gets a fair portion of the time available. But also make time to cover any topics interesting to the group.

I have over 40 years of experience assessing images for exhibitions, student assessment, publication, and international competitions. But don't be intimidated: I don't bite, I don't grill. I'm only interested in using your own work to help you improve your photography.

Open to all photographers, at any level and using any camera. If you wish to attend just to listen in, without showing any of your work, you are also very welcome.

NB: This is not a portfolio review, but a group learning situation.

This will be an informal session, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss answers.

This workshop was much better than I expected. I am a real amateur and felt I could be out of my depth, but Tom made you very welcome and comfortable.”
