About the event
An event to raise money for the Sony Foundation, so it can run more camps in Aotearoa/NZ for children with special needs.
As I'm rarely in Hamilton we're going to cram three one-hour events into one three-hour session!
To begin, I'll give an inspirational talk using great images from the past to help you learn a bit about history of photography, technique and creativity.
Following this, we'll go for a brief photo walk in the centre of Hamilton to try out new ideas of your choice.
On your return to Snapshot, I will pick photographers at random for a quick review of images. It's a really effective way to learn, as even if your photos aren't shown you can see still how others photographed the same subject matter under the same conditions. It's also a great way to pick up tips on camera technique and image composition.
I will also give away two of my photography books as spot prizes.

Advocate
I like to have feedback from Tom immediately after practice. Even though I was not chosen to display my photos, it is good to see others. ”
