About the event

Join us for an exciting Photography Fundamentals Workshop at Australia's renowned zoo, led by Sony advocate and photography tutor Craig Turnbull. This workshop is perfect for beginners who want to learn the art of photography in a stunning wildlife setting. 

The ticket price shown includes your entry into Australia Zoo, lunch at one of the cafe's and bottled water.

Also included is a follow up Q & A online session, this session will be on the 1st of October from 7PM until approximately 8PM.

This workshop is ideal for beginners looking to improve their photography skills and capture unforgettable moments. Bring your camera and get ready to unleash your creativity in the picturesque surroundings of Australia's Zoo. 

This workshop is open to users of any make or model DSLR/mirrorless camera, with one caveat... The hands on lessons focus strongly on utilsing the semi automatic modes of your camera.  Please ensure your cameras mode dial has A/AV and S/TV modes.

The Zoo is fully wheelchair accessible,
The Zoo is 110 acres and quite a bit of walking will be required.
Yes, Craig is a current working with children Blue Card holder. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult who also books their own ticket. Ages above 14 recommended for lessons.
The Queensland Rail (QR) Citytrain has a seven-day service that operates between the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Beerwah. Passengers travelling on the QR Citytrain that arrives in Beerwah can be picked up by Australia Zoo’s courtesy coach. The Australia Zoo courtesy coach meets most trains at the Beerwah Rail Station to transfer passengers to the Zoo. If the bus is not at the station, simply call the Zoo on 5436 2000 and a bus will be sent out during opening hours for your convenience. Be sure to plan your journey in advance and check out the latest service updates at translink.com.au or by calling 13 12 30 anytime.
