A walk through of the hidden waterfalls of Dorrigo

About the event

This is a truly beautiful area which I find myself at a lot, It has some amazing walks and little flowing streams along with some hidden waterfalls and some truely epic compositions to find. This is a loop walk and around 4 km in total of walking but has so many epic spots for photo opportunities. The workshop is of a smaller number so I can help/mentor you with low light and long exposures to get that dreamy effect with plays on light and shadows breaking through the trees. I can't wait to show you this place as I think anyone who hasn't visited this area will truely fall in love with it as have I.

Techniques covered

  • Long exposures
  • Shooting in manual mode
  • Understanding highlights and shadows
  • Understanding ISO
  • Compositions (landscape and portrait)
  • Understanding aperture in low light

What to bring

  • Snacks and water
  • Tripod
  • Camera and lens
  • Filters( if you don't have any don't stress as we can still discuss methods and techniques)
  • Hiking shoes (we will most likely be down and around low lying water so feet will most likely get wet)
