About the event
Welcome.
This is my workshop for learning how to create abstract imagery with slow shutter speeds and how to apply this technique within the ocean environment.
In this workshop we won't only go into camera settings and best practices, we will also look at understanding ocean charts and how that can help you get prepared for slow shutter abstract imagery.
What can you expect? An afternoon with me in a safe environment with a photographic setup for our abstract wave imagery, you will also receive a google slide show doc that will reiterate the lessons taught in the session so you will have this to reflect back onto when needed.
The workshop is limited to 5 people to ensure a relaxed atmosphere and workshop.
Some important things to note before booking.
You will need to know the following about your camera.
- Shooting in manual or shutter priority.
- An understanding of your focal areas | The ability to change your focus area.
- A tripod with panning abilities. (This is very important as it is used heavily with this genre of Photography)
- You won't be able to use a phone as your main camera.
- A lens that will allow you to get close, preferably a 50ml or greater ( 70 -200 ideal lense )
- Please note that filters are not needed for this workshop.
I look forward to connecting and sharing this workshop with you.
