About the event
Friday 10th September
Meet at the Snowgoose hotel Adaminaby 5pm for an informal get together and dinner
Saturday 11th September
We travel in search of the endangered Australian Brumbies in areas we have previously found them in Kosciusko National Park and Long Plain. In the afternoon we will visit Yarrangobilly caves and thermal pools - bring your cossie for this 27C treat. The Alpine flowers are in bloom and the wombats, platypus and lyrebirds are in residence. If the skies are clear in the evening, we will head to Brayshaws Hut to shoot the Milky Way.
Sunday 12th September
A sunrise shoot exploring long exposure photography of the dead trees on the shores of Lake Eucumbene at Anglers Reach followed by breakfast at Adaminaby Bakery. If our brumby searches were in vain, or we want more brumbies! we will retrace our steps or hike out to a secret meadow that they frequent. Along the way we can pause to photograph the wildlife we encounter - wallabies, kangaroos, wombats and eagles are often seen. The spring melt is incredibly picturesque amongst the beautiful alpine snow gums.
We will enjoy a latish picnic of local produce and afterwards return to Adaminaby where the workshop will conclude.
