Sony Adelaide Photo Review

Robert Dettman (accredited judge) and Colin J. Pearce (competition administrator for the South Australian Photographic Federation) will be giving constructive feedback on how to improve your photos.

It is wonderful to have friends and family compliment you on your photographs. Learn the five key tips to create dramatic images – Subject. Composition. Simplicity. Light. Story.

Submit your photos anonymously, or just come along and learn from hearing feedback on other people's photos. This can improve your eye for photos in ways you will not expect.

Robert Dettman obtained his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Adelaide. Robert conducts architectural photography workshops, is a speaker/presenter on photographic subjects and is an accredited photography judge. He has held management positions in the Australian Photographic Society, the South Australian Photographic Federation and Eastern Suburbs Camera Club. He has won numerous international awards for his photography.

Colin J. Pearce has been the competition administrator for the SAPF Annual Exhibition/Competition for the last five years. He is the immediate past president and former competition secretary of the Port Adelaide Camera Club. Currently Colin is a Sony Digital Imaging Advocate.

Our second meeting in a meeting room! We have chosen the Ballroom this time, in the spectacular, historic "Carclew" mansion on the corner of Jeffcott Street and Montefiore Hill, North Adelaide (diagonally opposite Light's Vision). Enter through the Staff car park in Jeffcott Street, and at the rear of the building where you will find an entrance marked "Reception". Enter the door, go past the reception desk and find the Ballroom on the left (east – Jeffcott St side) of the staircase. (Note other groups will be using other rooms on the day)

There should be plenty of parking on Jeffcott Street or Montefiore Hill (if you're early you may get a park in the Staff car park at 11 Jeffcott Street – see photo).

Refreshments will be supplied. We will be charging for this event to cover the costs of venue & equipment hire, insurance, etc., but it will be good value.
