Across two nights, Sony will be hosting two information sessions for filmmakers to get a deeper look into the Sony Film Festival and have a chance to learn from other filmmakers. This live event held in The Library cinema space at Events Cinema, George Street, will give anyone interested at submitting their film into the Sony Film Festival a chance to hear from the judges, ask questions, and learn from other creators. These sessions will be moderated by the festival organisers.
Thursday night we welcome to the panel our judges for the Fiction and Music Video categories. Angus Clunies-Ross, Sales Director at Sony Pictures Releasing is representing the Fiction category, and Wayne Ringrow, VP ANZ Marketing & Artist Management at Sony Music for the Music Video category. Both panelists have an extensive history working within the film and music industry respectively. This opportunity is not one to miss, and will wrap with a live Q&A session.
Friday night will be an informative discussion with filmmakers Redscope and cinematographer Piet de Vries ACS. The session will look at the process of filmmaking from conception to completion, common challenges when filming, and ways to make more creative choices when filming.
Please note that both sessions will be recorded.
