2025 Alpha Awards Photo Competition
Terms and conditions apply.*
This session is designed to help you improve your photos, either for your own pleasure or for competitions, such as Sony Alpha Awards 2021, and the South Australian Photographic Federation’s Annual Exhibition 2021 (which will be on display in the Myer Centre in Rundle Mall).
Robert Dettman (accredited judge) and Colin J. Pearce (competition administrator for the South Australian Photographic Federation) will be giving constructive feedback on how to improve your photos.
We will be meeting online, using the very popular Zoom meeting software. Before the meeting, if you haven't already, please go to the below Zoom website and sign up (using the big orange "Sign Up free" button). Please use your actual name (so we know who you are).
Then download the "Zoom Client for Meetings" from:
www.zoom.us/download
If you need help installing Zoom on your computer or phone, before the meeting please phone Colin on 0408-4-COLIN (0408-4-26546).
This session is perfect if you would like your photos to be reviewed, which you can do either with your name or anonymously, or just join the meeting and learn from seeing feedback on other people's photos. This can improve your eye for photography in ways you will not expect.
Upload up to 12 of your photos in JPEG or (where possible) the original RAW format by 8pm on Sunday 7th March to:
www.dropbox.com/request/B4hiPffQxoySSzw7h2XH
In some instances we may show you how to adjust photos in Lightroom or Photoshop (if you use other software, the principles should be similar).
This session may also be useful if you want help choosing which photos to edit, or making any adjustments to images that you may want to submit in the Sony Alpha Awards competition or the SA Photographic Federation's Annual Exhibition competition.
