Throughout the workshop, we will dive into the art of landscape photography, and we will be there to guide you every step of the way. With our in-depth local knowledge and expertise, we'll help you make the most of your equipment and craft your imagery to perfection, both on location and in post-processing sessions back at our accommodation base.

Small Group, Big Experience
This exclusive photography workshop in Tasmania's Southwest is limited to just 4-6 participants. With such a small group, you'll receive personalised attention and guidance from both Luke and Oliver throughout the entire experience. Smaller groups create a more engaging and enjoyable learning environment, allowing us to tailor the workshop to your individual needs and goals.
To ensure your comfort and privacy, each participant will have the option of twin share or single accommodation during the workshop. This means you'll have a personal space to relax and recharge after a day of shooting, without compromising on comfort.
The workshop is also self-catering, giving you the freedom to choose food according to your own preferences. This flexible arrangement adds to the laid-back and easy-going atmosphere of the workshop, allowing us to focus on photography and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Tasmania's Southwest.
With a small group, we'll be able to move around the region more easily, fitting comfortably in one vehicle and simplifying logistics. This not only enhances the learning experience but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and friendship as we explore and photograph Tasmania's Southwest together.
Flexible Itinerary and Locations
One of the key advantages of this workshop is the flexible itinerary, which allows us to make the most of the prevailing weather conditions. We will use our planning tools, apps, and forecasting services to determine the best locations for each day, ensuring that we will be at the right place at the right time to capture the most stunning images possible. As part of the workshop, we will also share our planning processes with you, providing valuable insights into how to adapt and optimise your photography based on the conditions.
Potential locations include Mount Field, Russell Falls, The Sentinels, Derwent Valley, Horseshoe Falls, Red Knoll Lookout, Florentine Valley, Mount Anne (lookout), Styx Valley, Lake Gordon and Lake Pedder.

Accommodation
During the workshop, we'll be staying in comfortable accommodations in Maydena, the gateway to the Southwest. Each participant will have the option of twin share or single accommodation, ensuring a cozy and relaxing stay. The accommodation offers ample space for us to unwind, share meals, and review our photographs together. With its serene natural surroundings and close proximity to our shooting locations, it is the perfect base for our photography adventure.
Meals
The workshop is designed to be self-catered, providing participants with the flexibility to accommodate their dietary preferences and requirements. We will have the opportunity to purchase groceries and stock up on provisions for our stay. The accommodation's well-equipped kitchen allows us to prepare our own meals, but we'll also have the chance to dine out at local eateries as the flexible itinerary allows.
Personal Capabilities and Experience Level
Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the ropes or an experienced photographer seeking to refine your skills, this workshop caters to all levels. Prior experience with landscape photography is beneficial but not essential.
The shoot locations for the workshop are selected to be easily accessible, typically requiring only short walks. However, to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience, a basic level of fitness is recommended. Throughout the workshop, we will be right there beside you, offering personalised assistance and guidance while also photographing alongside you. This unique opportunity allows you to learn directly from us, observe our techniques, and gain invaluable insights to elevate your own photography skills.
