About the event
Step into the shadows and shape the light.
Studio: Noir is an immersive, movement‑driven portrait workshop designed for photographers who want to push beyond the ordinary. Working with a contemporary dancer, we’ll explore how motion, mood, and LED lighting collide to create striking, cinematic portraits inside the studio.
Across the session, you’ll experiment with Nanlite LEDs, sculpting light with colour, contrast, and atmosphere. We’ll introduce mist to add depth, texture, and drama — letting you capture frames that feel alive, fluid, and beautifully unpredictable.
As the workshop progresses, we’ll shift gears and bring out the flash, diving into creative shutter‑drag techniques to blend motion trails with crisp, frozen detail. It’s the perfect fusion of control and chaos, giving you a chance to craft images that feel electric.
Throughout the workshop, Sony cameras and lenses will be available for you to test, giving you hands‑on access to premium gear as you refine your craft.
This is your invitation to explore movement, mood, and the magic of light all within the noir‑inspired walls of the studio.
