Scene Festival
Using Neutral Density filters and a Circular Polariser to enhance your images

About the event

Neutral density filters and a polariser are a MUST HAVE piece of equipment for any landscape photographer. But often they can just sit in your gear bag as you're not sure how to use them effectively to improve on the scenes you're shooting.

Come and learn the art of long exposure photography with me in this interactive online session, you'll come away knowing how to effectively use ND filters and a circular polariser to create stunning imagery that will WOW!

Filters will significantly improve your results in shooting in less than ideal conditions (e.g. water that's not smooth, cutting glare on water and foliage, enhancing existing colours in the scene) but you need to know how to use them for the best effect.

We'll discuss the purpose of each individual filter (neutral density filters, graduated filters and the polariser), and talk about when to use each in your photography. We'll talk about the challenges that arise with long exposure photography and using a polariser and how to overcome these both in the field and in post-processing.

The recording will be made available to all registered attendees after the event.
