About the event
Sony New Zealand invites you to a special private screening of the movie The Boys in the Boat.
The Boys in the Boat is a sports drama based on the #1 New York Times bestselling non-fiction book written by Daniel James Brown. The film, directed by George Clooney, is about the 1936 University of Washington rowing team that competed for gold at the Summer Olympics in Berlin. This inspirational true story follows a group of underdogs at the height of the Great Depression as they are thrust into the spotlight and take on elite rivals from around the world.
At this event you will also be given the opportunity to check out some of Sony's Cinema Line cameras, including the recently announced Sony BURANO.
- 6:30pm - Doors open, finger food and free drink provided on arrival
- 7:15pm - Movie begins
IMPORTANT NOTE: As there are only a limited number of seats available for this private screening, bookings will be restricted to a maximum of two tickets per person.
