A afternoon exploring and shooting the dunes of Stockton.

About the event

Join Sony advocate Matthew as he takes you on an adventure style workshop through the vast dunes of Stockton. Matt has a knack for textures and minimalism in his photography, and the dunes provide some interesting and vast photographic opportunities. The afternoon will involve a good amount of walking through the dunes so a strong fitness is needed. Matt will cover different aspects of shooting in the types of conditions that are well suited to adventure photography. Matt will also have a subject to be in images for scale and story telling through out the afternoon.

Techniques covered

  • Understanding strong compositions in minimal scenes.
  • visual story telling in minimal scenes.
  • post processing tips for adventure photography.

What to bring

  • Camera and gear.
  • Water and snacks.
  • Pen and paper if you wish to take notes.
  • A sense of adventure.

A camera phone is completely okay swell as this is suited for all levels. if you wish to test some Sony gear please make contact prior to the event.
Ample parking at marked location.
The events requires you to walk a few ks in hard walking areas so please keep in my mind your fitness level.
