Based on 12+ years experience in destination weddings, and having shot in over 20 countries around the world, I will share our personal understanding of how it works, what to watch out for and the realities, good and bad of working on destination weddings.
In equal parts glamourous and chaotic, it is definetely not for the faint-hearted. With increased budget comes increased responsibilities and it's understanding all the layers that make a good destination photographer that may set you up right to pursue this niche in the wedding business.
