Tim will be discussing his extensive career ranging from working as a 19-year-old news cameraman in Sydney’s Western suburbs through to operating as a Head of Department DoP on one of Australia’s largest Network TV series.
Topics covered also include working as a freelance operator, working solo in the field, creating a career behind the camera and his choice to use the new Sony Burano as his primary A camera along with other gear related topics.

About the host:
Tim Hawkins is a highly respected Director of Photography with more than three decades of experience in television production. His career spans a wide range of genres, but he is best known for his work in Commercial Television including documentary filmmaking and long-form lifestyle television.
Tim's work has included critically acclaimed programs including the internationally recognised genealogy series ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’, ‘Todd Sampson's Body Hack’ and popular home renovation show ‘Selling Houses Australia’.
