Award-winning documentary photographer discusses his craft
About the event
Todd Henry is an Auckland-based documentary photographer and visual storyteller who focuses on capturing imagery that examines various aspects of our society that we often take for granted. In recent years Todd's work has focused heavily on the people and cultures of the Pacific Islands.
In his approach to photography, Todd has a strong focus on the accuracy of the visual representations he creates of individuals, communities, and places. He aims to convey his perspective of the world and appreciation of culture through the lens of his camera.
Todd will be speaking about the importance of building meaningful relationships with subjects, how to approach photographic projects as an outsider, and the power of influence that photographers inherently possess.
