About the event
Join me for a FREE photowalk right in the heart of Auckland City and take part in the annual Auckland Photo Day.
This year Sony NZ is the official sponsor of the 2024 Auckland Photo Day competition. Any photos captured in Auckland on the 8th of June and submitted via the Auckland Festival of Photography website will be entered into this annual competition. First prize is an Alpha 6700 mirrorless camera and 16-55mm F2.8 G lens valued at over $5,000, second prize is an $800 Sony Store discount code, and third prize is a $400 Sony Store discount code!
We'll meet at Silo Park at 4:00pm (near the silos at the western end of Jellicoe Street) for a 4:30pm start. From there we'll make our way through the Viaduct Harbour, capturing photos around sunset and then into the night, with an expected finish at 6:30pm.
There will be a lot happening in the area, so there will be many opportunities for you to capture photos of different subjects (cityscapes, street scenes, portraits, etc.)
As this is a casual event there won't be any formal techniques covered on the night. This photowalk aims to bring people together and build community. Photographers, videographers and content creators of all ages and levels of experience are welcome to attend.
