Free guided night photo walk during Dark Mofo featuring Sony FE 16mm f1.8 G

About the event

Join Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Luke Tscharke for a series of night photography walks through Hobart during the Dark Mofo festival period! We're offering two identical sessions featuring Sony's latest camera gear, including the opportunity to try out the new FE 16mm f/1.8 G lens.

Choose the date that works best for you:

  • Photo Walk 1: Thursday, 5 June from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (BOOKED OUT)
  • Photo Walk 2: Friday, 6 June from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (BOOKED OUT)
  • Photo Walk 3: Friday, 13 June from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (NEW)

These photo walks are a great chance to capture Hobart's interesting scenes during the Dark Mofo festival. We'll explore how to photograph the festival's lighting installations, work with low-light conditions, and create street photography with compelling compositions.

While you're welcome to bring a tripod, this is also an excellent opportunity to experiment with adaptable handheld approaches that allow you to move freely and capture spontaneous moments. We'll be on hand throughout the walk to offer guidance and answer questions about both techniques.
