Learn to shoot the Milky way and Night skies from the coastline of Sydney

About the event

Join  Robin and Tim from  Wanderlust Imagery for a fun evening of phtoographing night skies.  The Milky way Galactic core will rise around 6.30pm and the influence of the moon will be minimal.

In this workshop we will teach you the basics of setting your camera up for capturing the Milky way and also have some fun with light painting if conditions permit.

We will show you how to work with the ambient light that Sydney challenges us with and teach you the techniques required for photographing night skies.

The emphasis will be on having fun and learning a new skill set with your camera in a lovely location.

Whilst suitable for beginners - we will also be happy to discuss more advanced techniques with focus stacking and editing in Photoshop or Lightroom .

Note: If the evening is cloudy we will be proceeding with light painting as the focus - this will still teach you  the settings for night sky photography whilst we wait for the Milky way to peep through the clouds. If the weather is rainy or stormy the back up date will be 15 June. In the event 15 june is unsuitable you will be eligible for a refund or rejoin us at a later date astro workshop ( sept/oct)  or another workshop.
