About the event
Join me - Luke Nicholas, for a casual photographer walk and meet up at Auckland's Westhaven Marina.
Photographers, videographers and creatives of all ages and levels of experience are welcome to attend! As this is a casual event there won't be any formal techniques covered on the evening - the aim is to bring the local photographic community together.
If you're just starting out in photography and looking to make new friends in the local photography scene, or simply keen to catch up with others, then this is the event for you!
We'll meet at Auckland's Westhaven Beach at 4.00pm. Then we'll take a short walk along Westhaven Drive to some iconic and hidden Auckland photography locations.
You'll then have the chance to capture scenic views of Auckland City, and (hopefully) take photos of an amazing sunset!
*** PLEASE NOTE ***
* You don't need a Sony Alpha camera to attend this event, any camera brand is welcome!
* Please only book tickets if you are certain that you can attend.
* Due to the uncertainty of the weather over the winter months this event may be postponed to a later date.
* Please ensure that you sign up to this event with an active email address as I will be sending out regular email updates closer to the event. (I will also be posting updates for this event on my Instagram stories: @LukeNicholas)
Techniques covered
- No specific techniques will be covered on the evening, but I will be available to offer advice about camera settings and answer any questions that may arise.
What to bring
- Camera and Lenses
- Lightweight tripod (as we will also be shooting during night)
- Spare memory cards and batteries
- Shoes suitable for walking
- Water and snacks
