About the event
Join me and like-minded bird photography enthusiasts for this casual photowalk around Barrett Lagoon and the surrounding reserve area. As a conservation biologist and wildlife photographer who grew up in New Plymouth I'll be more than happy to share my tips for photographing birds over the course of this informal wander.
This event is suitable for all levels of experience, including complete beginners or people that don't have a camera yet. I'll answer any technical or gear questions you might have while we attempt to find some good birds.
We'll meet at the Roto Street carpark area and walk into the reserve area from there, likely covering 2–2.5 km distance and finishing up around sunset.
