Bruny Island is located in the south-east of Tasmania. It is about 50 kilometres long with remarkable natural diversity and abundant wildlife. There is a lot to explore and discover, no matter how well you think you know the island. Nature and nurture meet on Bruny Island, where dramatic landscapes are complemented by the finest of local produce and food. Bruny Island features some of Australia’s highest sea cliffs, long sandy beaches and one of the country’s oldest lighthouses. Bruny Island is a place of inspiration for the artist.
The workshop commences and concludes in Hobart. We collect you at a central location in the city for a 40 minute drive to Kettering, where we board the ferry for a 20 minute trip across the D’Entrecasteaux Channel to Bruny Island. Our beach front accommodation is located at Adventure Bay, which provides a central location from which to explore the island. Some of the natural features on our itinerary are : • The Neck • Adventure Bay • Fluted Cape Circuit • South Bruny National Park • Cloudy Bay • Cape Bruny Lighthouse With some manmade features to explore including: • Bruny Island Cheese + Beer Co. • Bruny Island Premium Wines • Bruny Hotel • Bruny Island Raspberry Farm
