Composition Top Ten Review
Learn by Doing, learn from looking
The best way to learn photography is by putting new ideas into practice. The other best way is to look actively at images to analyse how they work. Bring your camera and see your skills grow in real time! Or bring your images for review.
Ideally, you will have attended the morning session ‘Unlock Composition Secrets’. Apply what you’ve learned to refresh your way of seeing.
Photographers who book both workshops will receive a $20 voucher at the session.
If you can’t make it to the morning session. No problem! You can also learn from getting personalized and lively, positive group feedback on any of your images.
- For this session, you can bring your own images or those shot after the morning talk. We will run through the morning session to ensure everyone’s together.
- Interrogating an image versus enjoying it
- Learn to extract the key elements
- Learn to distil the structure
- Learn to read the image periphery
- Receive guidance and feedback
- See how small adjustments in framing or emphasis can make a big difference in your images
Learn from others – a great way to share and develop together.
If you have a laptop with HDMI output, do bring it along. This will speed up reviewing.

This workshop was much better than I expected. I am a real amateur and felt I could be out of my depth, but Tom made you very welcome and comfortable.”
