Join us for a weekend away at one of WA's best landscape destinations!

About the event

Join award winning landscape photographer and Sony Digital Imaging Adovcate Andrew J Clarke for this unique 3 day "weekender" workshop in Dunsborough, Western Australia.

Dunsborough is perfectly located in WA's south west, with many amazing locations less than 20 minutes drive away including Meelup Beach, Castle Rock, Eagle Bay, Sugarloaf Rock, Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, Canal Rocks, Injidup Natural Spa, Busselton Jetty and many more!

In between shooting on location, relax in our spacious accommodation, check out the Dunsborough township, and join Andrew for seminars covering all areas of landscape photography as well as dedicated post-production tutorials. This workshop is limited to a maximum of four attendees to ensure that everyone gets plenty of individual tuition.

The itinerary includes:

  • Four pre-planned workshops on location (sunset on Friday and Saturday, sunrise on Saturday and Sunday)
  • Three seminars on aspects of landscape photography and post-production
  • Dedicated one-on-one tuition to work on your images
  • Breakfast and dinner on all workshop days (included in price)
  • (Optional) Winery lunch on the Saturday (not included in price)

Techniques covered

  • Landscape / seascape photography
  • Setting up your camera and customisation 
  • Technical considerations (balancing exposure, depth of field, focusing etc)
  • Compositional concepts and techniques
  • Long exposure (including using lens filters)
  • Post-processing in Lightroom
  • Full workflow from planning landscape shoots to exporting for printing / social media
  • (Optional) Advanced image capture techniques (bracketing, focus stacking, panorama etc)
  • (Optional) Advanced image editing in Photoshop

What to bring

  • Camera
  • Lenses suitable for landscape photography
  • SD cards
  • Tripod
  • Your own lens filters (some filters will be available to borrow)
  • Remote trigger (contact Andrew if you do not have one)
  • Laptop or tablet for editing
  • Warm clothes (for sunrise / sunset shooting)
  • Wet weather clothes (just in case)
  • Enclosed shoes suitable for hiking
  • Money for lunch on Saturday
  • (As required) Clothes and toiletries for 2 nights (3 days)
  • (As required) Additional snacks between meals

Yes. Dinner and breakfast will be provided on workshop days. Lunch on Saturday is not included.
There is no specific dress code, but we recommend you bring warm clothes for sunrise and sunset shooting.
Yes there is free parking available at the accommodation and all shooting locations.
Accommodation for two nights as well as dinner and breakfast on all workshop days.
The following are not included: travel to and from Dunsborough, lunch on Saturday and any snacks in between meals and at shootings location.
Yes. A minimum of 2 tickets must be sold by 11 October 2019 for the workshop to go ahead.
All attendees must be over 18. This workshop will involve some light hiking over uneven ground and as such a minimum level of fitness / mobility is required. If you have any concerns, please contact Andrew before booking a ticket - andrew@andrewjclarke.com.au
We recommend all attendees drive their own vehicle to the accommodation in Dunsborough.
