Find the Frame: Viaduct Photo Hunt

Find the Frame: Viaduct is a first-of-its-kind experience that I’m really excited to share with you.. an interactive photography scavenger hunt that leads you around Aucklands Viaduct using a custom-built interactive map and a series of hidden visual clues to help you find the frame.

You’ll use the map on your phone to track different locations, open clues and mark off the ones you’ve found as you explore.

This event is designed to feel more like an adventure than a standard photo walk, while still giving you plenty of creative freedom along the way..

Important

This event will involve a lot of walking around the Viaduct, so please wear comfortable footwear and be prepared to be on your feet for most of the session.

You’ll also need a smartphone with reliable mobile internet access, as the interactive map and clue system alongside the maps on your phone will need to be accessed online throughout the event.

The Map

- At the beginning of the event, you’ll be given access to an interactive map showing a number of locations around the Viaduct. Each location contains a hidden detail for you to find.

- You'll tap a numbered location on the map to reveal a close-up vidual photo & clue, then head over to that area and see if you can find it.

Once you find it. Then you photograph it your way.

How you photograph it is completely up to you, feel free to experiment with different angles or compositions

There’s no competition, no judging and no pressure to complete every location. The idea is simply to explore the wider area on foot, challenge your observation and enjoy taking photos in a relaxed environment with others.

Event Timing

4.30PM - 5PM: Arrive at the meeting point and meet the other attendees, access the interactive map on your phone. 

5PM - 5.15PM: Event Start, We'll go through a quick briefing, introductions and ill show you how to use the interactive map for the evening.

5.15PM - 6.45PM: Photo Hunt begins, You will have 1.5 Hours to Explore the area to find all the locations and photograph them. 

6.45PM - 7PM: Make your way back to the starting point for a debrief and closing words.

How it works

Once you reach each location you will:

Open the clue on the map → find the detail → photograph it → mark it as found → move onto the next one.

You can complete the locations in any order and spend as much or as little time at each one as you like.

You’re welcome to explore with friends, in a small group or by yourself. Just ensure that they sign up to this event :)

Coming alone? No problem. If you’d prefer not to explore solo, I’ll help group solo attendees together before we start.
