Everybody's talking about Antarctica
but have you heard about the Sub-Antarctic Islands ?
There is a wilderness on our doorstep described by many as the "Galapagos of the Southern Ocean"
due to the incredibly rich biodiversity of Flora and Fauna of the region. It's time for a photographic adventure.
Join Robin and Timothy Moon from Wanderlust Imagery as we talk with Chad Carey - Managing Director
of Chimu Adventures about a 15 day trip to this wild and woolly wilderness planned for November 2024. We'll be travelling on the Heritage Adventurer from Hobart to Queenstown.
Along with the essentials, such as the size of the ship, and quality of the food, we'll be discussing how to
approach photographing vast colonies of King and Royal Penguins, fur and elephant seals, albatross, petrels,
shearwaters and prions. If you aren't a wildlife photographer, this will surely whet your appetite as many of these species are found nowhere else on the planet.
The November trip includes walking tours on four of the sub-antarctic islands as well as daily zodiac excursions. This vastly different yet familiar environment will test any landscape photographer's composition skills when isolating the special moments of beauty and wonder that will be on offer.
The Webinar is an opportunity to join in the chatter and share pics and stories,
whether you are planning on coming on the trip, or just thinking about it.
Either way, come and enjoy this virtual adventure.
