About the event

Join NSW Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Joanne Stephan, in partnership with Sony Australia and Camera House Sunshine Coast, for a hands-on, fast-paced Sony Scene workshop designed to sharpen your creative workflow. This session is all about run-and-gun filming techniques, teaching you how to capture dynamic lifestyle athlete branded content with energy, movement, and authenticity.

You’ll learn how to structure a shoot and capture engaging court action, perfect anyone wanting to learn film and looking to move quickly, shoot handheld, and produce content that really pops, all in a fast-paced, practical session designed for creators on the move.

Techniques covered

  • Handheld, run-and-gun filming
  • Lifestyle/environmental athlete frames - what to look for
  • Video settings 
  • Working with picture profiles and what to choose 

What to bring

  • Camera (all brands welcome)
  • Lenses for action + portraits (there will be a loan station for you to try some lenses)
  • Water
  • Energy and creativity!
