Enjoy after hours access and stunning sunset light at Taupiri Sunflower Farm

About the event

Join me for an evening amongst the sunflowers starting at golden hour to capture the vibrant colours of the sunflowers under a glorious summer sunset. We'll go over techniques to make the most of the location including focal depth and focus stacking, using both wide and narrow apertures for different results.

We'll also go over techniques to help compensate when the light gets low such as using a graduated filter or exposure bracketing to assist with better dynamic range.

The location has lots of different compositon options so we'll be able to shoot in a range of spots for different results, and I'll take time to suggest different options for the best results.

Sony gear: If there are any Sony cameras or lenses you would like to try, please let me know 2-3 weeks in advance and I'll see what I can do!

Backup date: Sunday, January 19th will be the backup date in case of bad weather. Please keep both Saturday and Sunday nights free.

Note: header images are examples of lighting and composition only (not captured at the Taupiri farm)
