About the event
Join award-winning photographer and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Dylan Giannakopoulos, for an unforgettable seascape photography workshop at the Twelve Apostles Lookout on Saturday, October 5th, 2024. With the newly opened Saddle Lookout offering breathtaking views, this is your chance to photograph one of Australia’s most iconic coastlines.
In this workshop, Dylan will guide you through the creative and technical aspects of long-exposure photography, helping you unlock the full potential of polarising and neutral density (ND) filters. With a diverse range of natural subjects to explore, you’ll learn how to harness these tools to create stunning landscape and seascape images.
Thanks to Maxxum and Haida Filters, a limited number of M10 filter holder kits will be available for participants to borrow. To reserve a kit, please email Dylan at dylangiannaphotography@outlook.com before booking to confirm availability.
At the workshop you’ll learn how to:
- Understand quality of light and how it influences the best times of the day to shoot.
- Master control of various camera modes and settings such as aperture priority and manual focusing, and learn how to read their camera’s histogram.
- Take creative control over your camera’s shutter speed with square neutral density (ND) filters
- Calculate your shutter speed when using ND filters
After the workshop, participants will be invited to join a private Facebook group which is strictly limited to past attendees of Dylan Gianna Photography Workshops. The Facebook group offers members a space to share their images, ask questions and learn tips and tricks from Dylan.
