About the event
Join Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Jay Evans for an early morning photowalk along the beautiful Great River Walk, exploring one of Western Sydney's most diverse and underappreciated photographic locations.
Positioned at the foothills of the Blue Mountains, the Nepean River corridor around Penrith and Emu Plains offers an incredible variety of photographic subjects within a relatively short walking distance. From misty riverscapes and golden sunrise reflections to abundant birdlife, reptiles, and candid moments of everyday life along the river, this location provides opportunities for photographers of all interests and experience levels.
As the morning unfolds, we'll explore a range of photographic techniques while discussing camera settings, composition, subject selection, and practical fieldcraft. Following the walk, we'll gather at a local café for breakfast and a relaxed camera chat.
