Stories, images and settings from my first weeks with the new camera

About the event

Join landscape photographer Luke Tscharke for a session on the recently released Sony Alpha 7R VI. I have owned the camera now for a few weeks, and I've been putting it through its paces . I've shot at events like Hobart's Dark Mofo and Sony Kando in Port Stephens, and sunsets and astro around Tasmania, including auroras and meteors on the Freycinet Peninsula. I'll share the stories and images from those trips through the session, and explain the new features that have made this camera even better for landscapes and astrophotography.

This would be an ideal session if you're looking to upgrade to the A7RM6, or if you've recently purchased one and are looking for tips on the settings.

First Impressions from the Field: What I love about the new camera, the settings I've changed, and the photos I've taken along the way.

The session is designed to be casual, friendly, and relaxed. You're welcome to simply watch and listen, or actively participate by asking questions throughout. If you're deciding on an upgrade, or getting to know an A7RM6 you've just bought, bring your questions. At the end of the session, we'll have a brief Q&A to address any additional queries.
