About the event
Surf photography!
Join Sony advocate Matthew Gilligan on this afternoon where he will teach you all about the conditions and settings to help you create dynamic and unique surf visuals. Whether it's storming or beautiful bright sunshine, Matt will help you understand things like shutter speeds for fast action photography and the slow shutter effect to capture waves in motion.
There will be a surfer on hand to surf at some local beaches for the group.
This workshop will take place at one of the local beaches in Port Macquarie.
Techniques covered
- Learning the best shutter speed for surf photography
- Slow shutter techniques for surf photography
- What to look for when shooting waves and surfers
- Creative aspects for surf photography
What to bring
- All camera gear and extra memory cards.
- If possible a tele photo lens like a 70-200mm
- Tripod
- Water and snacks
