Getting started with video can feel overwhelming. Frame rates, codecs, shutter speed, stabilisation, picture profiles, resolution and audio can quickly become a maze of unfamiliar settings.
We'll break it all down, step by step.
We'll work through the key video settings on your Sony camera and explain what each setting does, why it matters, and when you should use it. You'll gain a much clearer understanding of your camera and leave feeling confident about setting it up for your next video project.

We'll also introduce the fundamentals of approaching a video project from start to finish — from developing an idea and planning your shots, through to capturing usable footage and thinking about how those individual shots come together to tell a story.
