About the event

Join Robin and Tim for a Wildlife and Seascape Immersive workshop in the  Wildlife Jewel in the Crown of NZ's south island. Kaikoura is known not only as the Whale watching capital of NZ with its own resident Sperm Whale, but is also home to an up to 2000 strong pod of  simply delightful Dusky Dolphins.

These amazing little dolphins dont just jump, they fly!  and somersault, and will circle back again and again to come check you out underwater. They eagerly await the boat arrival and will often crowd the stern waiting for you to jump in and play.

We will be in the water swimming with the Dolphins almost every day and photographing them from both above and below the water .

With 2 accomplished and award winning professional photographers to help your journey, you will gain confidence in wildlife and landscape photography skills during a week where there's always lots of laughter. We always have fun!

The itinerary includes:

4 dolphin cruise days - 2 Sunrise charters, and 2 Mid-morning dolphin swims in good light for underwater .

1 Seabird up close encounter cruise.

1 Kayak adventure to photograph NZ fur seals above and below the water

Optional Aerial Whale watching for the sperm whale

Photograph the NZ Fur Seal colony and seal pups . Watch them cavort in their favourite local pool.

Photograph amazing coastal locations where the mountains meet the sea..

Photograph Astro and Auroras as this is a designated Dark Sky area.

Enjoy a Wildlife presentation by an Award Winning Local Photographer and hear how they captured their photos.

Absolute beachfront accomodation  in self contained units, so we can check for passing Orca or Humpbacks.

Individual editing and shooting tuition by 2 experienced photographers.

5-7mm wetsuits provided by the charter company.

Plus, coffees are always on us!
