Photograph the fur seals and seabirds around the Kaikoura Peninsula

About the event

If you're interested in wildlife photography, or just enjoy geeking out with fellow nature enthusiasts, then this event is for you!

We'll meet up at the Point Kean carpark and walk part-way around the iconic Kaikōura Peninsula walkway to NZ fur seal and seabird colonies. It'll be a flat walk, albeit over rocky ground, at your own pace.

No formal instruction will be given at this event, but I will be on-hand to offer wildlife photography tips, and there'll be a great bunch of people to chat with as we go.

Techniques covered

  • General wildlife photography tips
  • Camera and lens setup

What to bring

  • Your own photography gear, if you have it. If you'd like to try some Sony gear during the walk, bring along your own SD card.
