About the event
If you're interested in wildlife photography, or want to meet and geek out with fellow nature enthusiasts, then this event is for you! Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Simon Pierce and ocean conservation photographer Fiona Wardle will be co-hosting this informal meetup and photo walk, exploring one of New Zealand's most beautiful – and wildlife-packed – coastal areas.
We'll meet at the Point Kean carpark and walk partway around the iconic Kaikoura Peninsula coastal walkway to view the NZ fur seal and seabird colonies, and hopefully catch some beautiful sunset light. It'll be a flat walk, albeit over rocky ground, at your own pace.
Fiona and Simon will be on hand to offer wildlife photography tips, and there'll be a lovely bunch of people to chat with as we go.
This event is part of our Kaikoura Wildlife Weekend Extravaganza – join our whale photography workshop before this one, and sign up for our special extended albatross photography trip on Sunday morning.
