About the event

Join Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Jay Evans for a special evening of astrophotography overlooking the vast wilderness of the Jamison Valley from the dramatic escarpments of Kings Tableland in Wentworth Falls.

This Astromeet explores one of the Blue Mountains’ lesser-known but equally spectacular night photography locations. With uninterrupted views across to Mount Solitary, Narrowneck, and the distant ridgelines beyond, Kings Tableland offers an incredible elevated perspective for capturing the Milky Way above the World Heritage wilderness.

As darkness settles over the valley, we’ll work through composition, planning, and night photography techniques while exploring a series of cliffside viewpoints and rock formations along the escarpment.

This Astromeet is designed to balance creativity, practical learning, and adventure — helping you refine your nightscape photography while experiencing one of the Blue Mountains’ most atmospheric after-dark environments.
